In July last year my band and I competed in Gorilla Productions Battle of the Bands. We won that and got to move on to compete in the finals round, which was last night.
There were 8 bands all together and the 7 other bands are all very talented musicians. However, we had the best ticket sales (thanks to everyone that bought tickets, even if you didn't come to the show!!) so we got to headline the show again (which was awesome!!).
We had a few technical problems but we put on a great show and we WON!!!! We won 20 hours of studio time and we are so excited for it!
We couldn't have done it without the support of our family and friends who all did as much as they could to help us out and they came out and cheered for us. It is so wonderful to have such supporting friends and family. I have been blown away by how willing to help us everyone has been.
If you couldn't make it out to the show I will try and post video and pictures soon.
Also, since we competed in the Battle of the Bands, Gorilla Music is entering my band in an online voting competition for one of two prizes: 1st being a $25,000 contract and 2nd being a 25 city North American tour. Both of those are incredible opportunities that we would love to be able to have. Check out http://www.gorillamusic.com/vote-for-your-favorite-band/ and vote for us (I believe you can vote daily). It may take up to a week to get us posted online. Please vote for us!
Thanks everyone! Love ya!
