Got home from Oregon yesterday. It was fun to get out of Salt Lake and away from work, school, band, etc and to spend some time with my family.

Some things I learned on my trip:

1-Blackberry bushes have very pointy thorns that will get you tangled up and scratch you but blackberries make good pie and jam.

2-Jaida absolutely loves the beach and once she takes off at it there is no catching her

3-Rocks are slippery when wet and conch shells will slice open your fingers when you land on them.

4-Bathrooms make great offices (Ike conducted his business in one of the offices at the house we rented because it was the only place he thought he could have privacy).

5-You can buy wool at the Pendelton factory in Pendelton for less than $5 a yard. Pretty sweet deal there.

6-It is a VERY long drive from Newport to Ontario.

7-Oregon is super dog friendly. Stores leave water bowls out for dogs on the sidewalks and dogs are welcome almost everywhere it seemed like
